Description
Glass wall decor, hand made Greek Mati. Hand made on transparent glass with gold color gilding.
The eye bead is an amulet in the shape of an eye, believed by many to protect against the evil eye. It comes from a common belief in ancient Mediterranean culture. In Turkish and Greek culture, the evil eye bead is known as máti (μάτι, 'eye') in Greece and is used to protect against the evil eye.
A typical evil eye bead is made of handmade glass and contains concentric circles or teardrop shapes in dark blue, white, light blue and black, sometimes edged in yellow/gold.
Although this belief is not as strong today as it used to be, it is still widely used for decorative purposes in homes and workplaces. Many people wear them as bracelets, necklaces, earrings and rings.
It will add a different atmosphere as a decorative object in your home.
